When It’s the Right Choice
Direct-to-film printing—usually called DTF—prints artwork in full color onto a transfer that is heat-applied to the garment. It handles gradients, fine detail and large color counts without creating a separate screen for every ink color.
DTF is often the practical choice when an order is too small or too visually complex for screen printing. Because Jones Creek Apparel produces both methods in-house, we can recommend the better fit based on the artwork, garments and quantity.
- Small and medium custom-apparel orders
- Full-color logos, gradients and detailed artwork
- Orders mixing several garment colors or styles
- Names, numbers and other personalized elements
- Artwork that would require many screen-print colors

Recommended Products
- T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts
- Hoodies and sweatshirts
- Work shirts and staff apparel
- Tote bags and compatible fabric goods
Minimums & Ordering
DTF does not have the traditional screen-printing minimum and is often cost-effective for smaller quantities. Final pricing depends on print size, garment and quantity. To protect print quality and ensure replacement availability, we do not decorate customer-provided garments. Our team will source the appropriate garment for your project.
